The 60's was a time of great creativity in Rock and Roll. Unfortunately, much of this creativity was a result of drug use. Thus, you often hear the term "Acid Rock". The culmination of Psychedelic Rock was no doubt the Woodstock Arts and Music Festival in 1969.
